چکیده
Nowadays, total knee arthroplasty (TKA) is widely considered to be the gold standard for treatment of end-stage osteoarthritis. Although optimal mode fixation in TKA continues an important area investigation, cementless offers possibility gain biologic fixation, preserve bone stock and mineral density, potentially improve survivorship. The purpose this retrospective study was evaluate clinical results a posterior-stabilized with tibial component porous tantalum, comparing two groups: Group A (30 patients), monoblock pegs, B (22 modular three pegs. Knee Society Score (KSS) Injury Osteoarthritis Outcome (KOOS) were submitted patients, radiographs collected at last follow-up. mean follow-up 26.32 (20–40) months. Significant differences not detected between postoperative KSS values groups (p = 0.44). Evaluating KOOS outcomes, we found that rating system showed statistically significant improvement from preoperative average 51.4 (SD ± 15) 72.66 19) final < 0.05). In B, 48.3 18) 79.54 17) postoperatively Comparing outcomes groups, no difference 0.20), exception sport-related section Radiological evaluation did show any sign polyethylene wear, radiolucency, septic or aseptic loosening, change alignment either group. current demonstrates excellent survivorship components tantalum osseous integration, without under investigation.

Posterior Stabilized Total Knee Arthroplasty
The posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) in total knee arthroplasty (TKA) functions to prevent posterior translation of the tibia and aids in femoral roll-back1. Roll-back allows for increased quadriceps lever arm and more efficient use of extensor musculature, permitting more normal stair climbing. Because of this, PCL retaining knees have the advantage of maintenance of ligamentous proprioceptio...
متن کاملTotal knee arthroplasty and posterior tibial slope
Total Knee Arthroplasty (TKA) has been considered as a standard procedure for intractable pain in the end-stage degenerative arthritis of the knee and maintaining range of motion (ROM) to facilitate the ability to perform daily living activities. 1 Factors that have been associated with the change in ROM after TKA include preoperative ROM, implant design, patient characteristics, posterior femo...
متن کاملMonoblock versus modular polyethylene insert in uncemented total knee arthroplasty
Background and purpose - Backside wear of the polyethylene insert in total knee arthroplasty (TKA) can produce clinically significant levels of polyethylene debris, which can lead to loosening of the tibial component. Loosening due to polyethylene debris could theoretically be reduced in tibial components of monoblock polyethylene design, as there is no backside wear. We investigated the effect...
متن کاملComparison of Clinical Results between Patellar Resurfacing and Non-resurfacing in Total Knee Arthroplasty: A Short Term Evaluation
Background: There is no difference in the functional outcomes 6 months after total knee arthroplasty (TKA) for kneeosteoarthritis between patellar resurfacing and non-resurfacing. Thus, we have performed this study to compare theshort-term clinical outcomes of TKA performed with and without the patella resurfacing. Methods: A total of 50 patients with osteoarthritis of the knee (OAK) were random...
متن کاملTibial component rotation in total knee arthroplasty
BACKGROUND Both the range of motion (ROM) technique and the tibial tubercle landmark (TTL) technique are frequently used to align the tibial component into proper rotational position during total knee arthroplasty (TKA). The aim of the study was to assess the intra-operative differences in tibial rotation position during computer-navigated primary TKA using either the TTL or ROM techniques. The...
